LCC offer a unique conference facility to all our client’s with a specific focus on less experienced fee earners. Bringing them up to speed in many areas of the conduct of a case. It is recognised generally that a lot of the topics we discuss may not be covered in the LPC training and as such, it is often after many years of practising law that a fee earner will start to become aware of many issues surrounding the conduct of their cases. Conduct issues are a way for a defendant to seek to reduce damages and costs.
The topics we discuss can range from fundamental contractual obligations through retainers, cost awareness, through to the final stages of the life of a file and thereafter in the cost recovery and final exit reporting.
LCC design this particular conference around junior level fee earners. We believe that the informative subject matters are invaluable in terms of fee earner development and has the added benefit of training individuals into good file management skills coupled with the appropriate level of knowledge required to maximise costs whilst still acting in the client’s best interest. The seminar lasts approximately two hours. We generally finish off with a fun filled Q & A session.
Feedback from current clients has been that our seminars have been most welcomed and encouraging. It is comforting to know that those firms are now adopting most of our recommendations / advice through their existing files in progress:
The seminar itinerary is as follows:
- Risk Assessment.
- File Management.
- Letter Writing style (when moving away from case management templates are required).
- Costs benefits.
- File completion and cost security.
- Cost Assessment and Recovery.
- Exit reports.
